14.12.10 – Saint Lucy’s Day is a church feast day, dedicated to Saint Lucy, the patron saint of the blind, and is observed on December 13th. It’s one of the only saint days observed in Scandinavia and one of the most popular events during the Christmas holiday. Emma was chosen to be in her schools celebration this year. They performed on the 13th for some nursing home residents and today, we got to see the performance.

Oh, my niece is an angel
so soft and sweet. your pictures almost have a sound to them, Tom.
(interesting….life without creative interpretations of the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment of The Bill of Rights. i wonder if FAUX NEWS knows about this.)
I like that Dave. The part about the pics having sound. I don’t get the other part, haha.
Before the girls entered one of the teachers directing the production announced “the spirits are on there way, so if you listen quietly, you can hear them approaching.” It was a good way to get everyone ready for the show but suddenly a three year old broke the silence by saying “mennään pois” which Max translated for me, “can we leave.”
hahahaha!!!!!!
understandable…spirits can be upsetting.
