09.03.11 – Things are crazy busy for me now so I have less time to wander the streets taking pictures. I’ll continue to post on a daily basis as long as I can but I need to focus my energy in other areas. I’m trying to start a business in Finland. I’m planning on opening a frozen yogurt/coffee shop. Maybe I’m crazy but that seems to be my calling right now. It’s a bit intimidating and crazy right now in the beginning but I’m finding a good amount of support so far from the people I meet to talk about my plans. There is just so many things I need to do before the summer when I would like to open. Expect to be hearing more about the process in the future. I started this blog to document my new life in Finland so I hope you find it entertaining

I’ve been amazed and delighted by your daily posts, and impressed that you have been able to maintain with all you have going on in your life. I’m sure it has given you some structure to your new life and it is completely understandable that it will have to change as you become involved in other pursuits. Make it work for you and we will all enjoy following along.
How cool! I will definitely visit your restaurant if its open next time I go to Finland! (I’m planning sometime this semester, but you’ll probably not be up and running yet.) Instead of trying to keep going as long as you can, why don’t you just post less often but still regularly? I think your readers will like to still get a feel for how things are going for you. Finland on 6 x a week perhaps.
Yes, post less often is definitely an option. I’ve loved the creative outlet this blog has given me and I don’t want to loose it. Let me know when you are in Finland. It would be great to see you. I’m quite the tour guide
Good luck with your new venture.
Kiitos
more than just entertainment, Tom, your blog documenting “new life in Finland” has been a much needed reminder for me personally, that life is always a new thing, regardless of where it is taking place. it is the newness that defines life, and the process of change that is the very living of it.
Well said, Dave! Love the pics, Tom! Beautiful colors!!
