29.05.11 – I love my bikes and luckily Helsinki does too. Helsinki is a great city to bike in. There are tons of bike paths throughout the city and I’ve already found a few sections where you can get off the streets and into the woods. I usually only ride on the weekends but hopefully that will be changing as the days grow longer and warmer.
My current “loop” takes me out along Ruoholahti, through Hietaniemi, pass through Meilahti, East side of Munkkiniemi, over Pikku Huopolahti and then back to the town center in a huge wooded section between Ruskeasuo and Länsi-Pasila, through the olympic park, skirt around Töölönlahti and finally stop at Mbar terrace for a beer or two before heading home.

I may not be able to say it’s getting easier but I am moving forward and getting used to the daily routine. Hopefully I’ll have more time to blog
