I just happened to stumble upon your blog and saw some of the beautiful photos you’d taken on your balcony and thought “Heey, wait a minute, this looks familiar!” and realised that you live in the exact same apartment as me, just two floors up, since I live on the 6th floor. What a coincidence ! Anyways, I think your blog is awesome, it is so interesting for me to read about your experiences here in Helsinki from a foreigner’s point of view, especially with the optimistic attitude that comes across in your posts. Also, having lived in the US with my family, I have so much to relate to in your texts, adapting to a new country imand culture is never easy. For me it was basically the same situation, apart from the fact that you’re an american in Finland and I was a Finn in the U.S ! Maybe we’ll catch the same elevator some day, so weird that we never have!

I just stumbled upon your blog. I love it! I’m (Finnish descent) from Michigan, living in San Francisco and have lived in Finland (Jyväskylä and, most recently, Kotka). Helsinki is one of my most favorite places and I love all of your pictures. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
