11.11.10 – Max has always had sketchbooks as long as I can remember. Like any other kid, if you leave him unattended he’ll spend hours on youtube or his Nintendo DS. After awhile, I have to remind him to read or do something else. He’ll read when he has a good book but most often I’ll find him at the kitchen table with his sketchbook working away.
Max already has a number of after school programs he goes to throughout the week. Two of them are creative, an afterschool program at his school and a comic book drawing class at the Annontalo Arts Centre. I’ve met both of Max’s teachers and when I get the chance to talk with them they usually tell me how “keen” Max is with illustration. It makes me feel good that he enjoys something he’s good at.
He’s my little artist.
