23.11.10 – Tilt-shift is a photographic technique which simulates a miniature scene by using selective focus, usually accomplished thru camera movements on a small- or medium-format camera. I recently downloaded an app, TiltShift Generator, for my iPhone which simulates the technique. Like most of the photographic apps on my phone, it does a pretty good job of simplifying an otherwise complicated process with promising results. I hope you like the samples and hopefully I’ll have more to come in the near future.

That actually looks pretty simple and probably cheaper than an iPhone app. I need to start using my DSLR more. I need to put the phone down.
have you ever tried that Bokeh technique? it’s also cool)
Sounds kinky! Any good links?
i have seen this effect on the menu of one of the photoshop apps in my laptop, and wondered what it was all about. i think i get it now. looks like it might be fun to play with : ) love what it does to the high angle landscape shots!
I think the trick is being up high and shooting down but you have to have something in the foreground and background with an obvious object to focus in the middle. Sounds simple, right?
