05.02.11 – Hipstamatic has a great Facebook page/photo albums called Adventures in HipstaLand where they feature Hipsta-Folk’s pix from around the world. One recent entry was called Adventures in HipstaLand::Lena’s St. Petersburg which has some great shots. One of my favorites was a shot of the city using a film called Float, one I don’t use often, but her images pushed inspired me to give it a shot.
Float, according to the Hipstamatic website, “adds a pleasant warm tone to your prints.” I’ve always steered clear of using it because I wouldn’t exactly call a primarily pale green cast warm. Lena’s pictures were pretty cool so I’m giving it a shot. I’m not sure how long I’ll stick with it but it’s fun for now.
