17.08.10 – You will find me at the cafe.
Cafes have two things which I can’t live without, coffee and internet connections. The kids have started school and both of them have short days. I guess Finland starts their school year earlier than most other countries but at least they ease into it. Emma gets out at 1300 and Max at 1315, which gives me enough time to hit a cafe and take care of some internet business. For now I’ve been hitting my favorite spot CafeJava but it’s pretty touristy so I”m going to try to find a place I can call my own. I’ll keep you posted 😉
When you get settled in one I’ll have to let Suzanne Staples know about it….
i just moved, too, Tom. not as far as you did (i don’t know anybody that’s ever moved THAT far), but after living in the same crib for 18 years, the same hood, the same same, moving 25 miles means finding new hangouts for me too. i am looking for a coffe shop that will spike my cup with Baileys every day around 6:30AM. no luck yet…
Well I hope you’re enjoying it, I am. I’m going to checkout a nice looking cafe tomorrow. I found it in a book called You Should Be Here. The book is written by 20 somethings and it’s all about the hip and cool things to do in Helsinki. Everything from where to get “smashed” to where to go skinny dipping. They listed a couple of cool cafes and one is down by the water in and old cottage. Not sure if the place will have internet but I’ll see if they have Bailey’s 😉
